lands that have been or may be granted bv tile the united states to this state for th the e support of tho the c common schools the proceeds of all property that may accrue to tho the state slate b by escheat or forfeiture nil fill unclaimed shares and dividends of tiny corporation incorporated under tinder tho the laws of 0 this state the proceeds of the sale bale of timber mineral or other property from school and state lands other thon those granted gi anted for specific purposes and five per of tho the not net proceeds eda of the rate pale of public lands lying within the state which shall be sold bold by the united states subsequent to the admission of this state into the union shall be and remain a perpetual perpetu nl fund to be called the state school fund tho the interest of which only together with such other means ns as the legislature may provide shall be distributed among tile the several school districts according to the school population opu lation residing therein provided that all funds funda derived from tiny any state tax for high schools shall be apportioned among the several bilies and school districts according to tho the attendance at tile the high schools therein but no city or district shall lo 10 entitled to any part of tile the fund derived from tile the state tax for or high schools unless tho the high school therein is is maintained upon
