The City Recorder read the minutes of September 1, 1987. Mayor Lee reported a survey of Beaver City poles and Installation of overhead telephone wire to the Airport will be made on Wednesday, September 16, 1987. The City Recorder reported that Irene Cox would not be eligible to serve as an Election Judge as previously accepted by Beaver City because of Randall Cox being on the ballot for City Council. First alternate Peggy Ruesch is not able to serve as an Election Judge. Mr. Floyd Pickering, CPA, Beaver City's independent auditor, met with the City Council and presented Beaver City's fiscal year ending June 30, 1987 audit. The City Council and Mr. Pickering reviewed at length Beaver City's Audit. It is in compliance with all State and City requirements and Beaver City is in excellent financial condition. After additional review, CouncilmanMes-sing- er moved, CouncilmanSmlth seconded. Beaver City accept the audit and appoint Floyd Pickering, CPA, as Beaver City's auditor for the fiscal year 1988. All voted in favor of the motion. Head Electrician Mont Bettridge met with the City Council and voiced his concerns on changing the com -mercial setbacks. Minersvllle Town requests documentation of credits for the change in the sewer connection and for the deletion of the drain. There have been come complaints about the minimum depth of the pool. The state law requires that a pool of this size and design have a minimum depth of 3 12 feet. Applications for a pool manager and for lifeguard are being accepted by the Town Council. Head Electrician Bettridge reported that Beaver City's lower generation unit adjacent to the GolfCourse has been hit by lightning and the generator unit has received extensive damage. The City Recorder presented telephone bids for removing the generator unit, sending it toSalt Lake City for repair and returning and installing the unit at the plant. After consideration of the bids, Councilman Hutchings moved, Coun- cilman Smith seconded, BeaverCity employees and Councilman Miller expedite repair of Beaver City's lower power plant. It will consist of herself and 4 or 5 others from throughout the community. The board is required to meet 4 times a year. The clerk was instructed to order new stop or yield signs. The date is set for Saturday, October 3, 1987. The auction will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until all the items are offered. There will be a great selection of items to choose from including a pool table (complete), twin beds, nice set of bunk beds, occasional table, new like new 35 chest, book fee tables, 35mm movie camera, mm projector, lovely toy cases, end tables, cof- very nice stuffed animals, children's books, like new pet bed and much, much more. They will display the Rummage Sale items a little differently this year to be more convenient for every one. Not only will there be great bargains, excitement and fun, but also great concessions.
