Show NEW JEEP PATROL SQUAD ORGANIZED IN MINERSVILLE Howard J. Pryor was elected lieutenant of the new Minersville Miners-ville Squad of the Beaver County Sheriff's Jeep Patrol at a special meeting held In the Minersville City Hall on Feb. 7. Members attending from Milford and Beaver. The meeting was conducted by the County Commander, R. II. Ruth, who welcomed and congratulated the new unit, and explained briefly the duties du-ties of the Jeep Patrol, pointing point-ing out that the patrol is a search and rescue group, operating oper-ating under the County Sheriff. Sher-iff. Members serve without pay, furnish their own vehicles and uniforms, and go on rescue missions on their own time. Plans for activities for the coming year were discussed, with major emphasis on the annual boat races to be held at Minersville Reservoir in June. |
