Show PLAYGROUND" FOR KIDDIES The people of Milford should feel justly proud of the fact that it will only be a short time until the Public Pub-lic playground will open for the Kiddies, Kid-dies, also they should feel proud that a goodly portion of the fundB necessary to pay for the equipment has been raised without calling upon up-on them for donation. It is only recently that the small towns have realized the necessity of providing something out of the ordinary or-dinary for the kiddies amusement, and the equipment now on the road for the Milford playground, we will have something entirely new for the present, and something that will be a lasting monument to the town. The committee having this movement move-ment in hand report that only the latest standard equipment has been ordered, consisting of a Chute the Chutes, Giant Stride, Ocean Wave and Lawn Swings, there now being some swings on the ground that will no doubt need some repairing and the committee are very seriously considering con-sidering a playground day and will ask the parents to assist in putting up the equipment and making all necessary repairs to the grounds. It is only through dilltgent effort , on, the part of the committee that arrangements were made and funds raised and they are most certainly entitled to the support of the entire community. They announce that a "Tag Day" will be held in the near future and parents will be expected to respond for each member of the family. In this way it is expected that sufficient funds will be raised .. to complete the payment on the : equipment and leave a balance for up-keep of the grounds, for we realize real-ize that with this amount expended. expend-ed. It should be given care and attention. at-tention. This scheme is a sort of a "Pet'" of Chairman Stoker's, and he will he found only too willing to give out any information desired at all times, in fact requests anybody to offer any suggestions for the amusement of our Kiddles that could be included in the playground. ; : ' ' |
