Show Margaret Carter Margaret May Carter, 58, of Provo died Thursday, Dec. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1977 in the Provo 21st IDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Ceme-tary. Ceme-tary. She was born Feb. 23, 1919 in Beaver, a daughter of George C. and Kate Hatch Murdock. She married Dwight L. Carter on Oct. 8, 1938 in Beaver. Their marriage was later solemnized solemn-ized in the St. George LDS Temple. Mrs. Carter was educated educat-ed in the Beaver Schools and lived in Milford for 15 years before moving to Provo in 1960. She served in various var-ious LDS church capacities including Relief Society President, YWMIA President, Presi-dent, stake YWMIA Presidency, Presi-dency, teacher in all auxiliaries, auxil-iaries, and stake Relief Society So-ciety president when she became be-came ill. She was an active temple worker and served as a Pink Lady at Utah Valley Hospital Hos-pital for a number of years. Survivors include her husband hus-band of Provo; one son and two daughters, Steven Dwight Carter, South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; Mrs. Steven (Colleen) Hatch, Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Brent (Joyce) Little -field, Orem; nine grandchildren; grandchil-dren; two brothers and two sister, Chase Murdock, Sumner Sum-ner Murdock and Mrs. Clark (Carol) Smith all of Beaver, and Mrs. Frank (Katheryn) Heiser, Van Wert, Ohio.
