Show NEOLA BROWN JOINS STATE BOARD Neola Brown is in the middle mid-dle of her 25th year of teaching teach-ing and has just added membership mem-bership on the Utah State Board of Education to her busy schedule. She is now teaching English Eng-lish to students in special education at Cedar City High School. I 1 NEOLA BROWN Along with Ross B. Den-ham, Den-ham, she represents District Dis-trict Seven's 16 school districts: dis-tricts: Alpine, Beaver, Garfield, Gar-field, Iron, Juab, Kane, Millard, Mil-lard, North Sanpete, Provo, Piute, Sevier, South Sanpete, San-pete, Tlntlc, Tooele, Wash- Ington and Wayne. She feels that the state Is at the threshold of an important era where there must be important changes in education. "It's our responsibility res-ponsibility to see that the schools don't suffer. The system was very difficult to build yet It could be destroyed des-troyed very easily. Mrs. Brown is a widow with four grown children; Bruce and Phillip, of Beaver; Beav-er; Gregory, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Valerie Dratter, of Scotland, Pa. |
