Show w IMPROVEMENTS AT WARD HALL Management Active and Solicitous of Best Interests of People and Clean Amusements. The Ward Hall Committee have just completed some improvements which they feel will be appreciated j by the general public. These improvements im-provements consist of a ladies' and j mens' check room, as well as a dressing room for each, in which there are mirrors, comb and brush, clothes brushes, etc. Attendants will be in these rooms to render what-, what-, ever assistance is needed, such as cheeking, etc, and their services are free. There has also been a section-al section-al orchestra pit installed, which can be set up in eight minutes and j gives the dancers the benefit of better music since it is much easier for the musicians to play in the pit than it was on the old stage. Arrangements have been made to ' give free dancing lessons to all who wish to take them, with Mr. Vergean Simkins as director. Mr. Simkins was recently sent to the Dance Con-, Con-, vention at Salt Lake City by the M. I. A. of this city. These lessons ; will be given between the period of '8:15 p. m, and 9:00 p. m. each night that there is a dance given by the management of the Ward Hull Committee. Com-mittee. Of course dances given under un-der the auspices of different organizations organiza-tions will not be preceeded by the i dancing class. However, we wish to call your attention to the fact that the dances will begin promptly . at 9:00 p. m. and close at 12:00. Since the dances that are to be : taught are standardized dances thru-out thru-out the state of Utah you will be able to dance them in any town in the state. We are sure they will be of great benefit to all, and will be especially popular in private dances. Due to the fact that recently a number of children, whose ages range from eight to fourteen have been attending the dances, it has become necessury to set an age limit of fourteen years. At intervals dancing mutinees will be arranged for those under this age. This policy was first put into effect January 1st and it is possible that some who were fourteen were refused admission We believe that the public will ariv with us that it is rather a difficult task to determine whether a boy or girl is thirten or fifteen. Therefore, if tlie parents will assist us in this matter, we assure you this mistake will not occur again for we will know that those who come out will be fourten or over. In the case of those who were refused udmitanccj 1 1 who were fourteen, the management wishes to make an apolo ry to the parents in which cases the mistake' was made. Complimentary tickets have been issued to parents to attend the dances and we would be glad to have J them come out. At the same time ve ' want them to feel just us free to dance us though they had paid for their ticket. If you have not already al-ready received one you can do s, by applying to the teachers f Parents classes. Any suggestions offered by the par ; eats for the betterment of our to cial dancing will be .la ll COIuid- , cred. Thanking the public for their sup port, and co-operation during the past! year and wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year, we are. ' WARD HALL COMMITTEE. |
