' Mr. Storey was born August 2-t. 1S52, in England, emigrating to America when a young man. He obtained employment on eastern railroads and became an engineer, first in Iowa, and then with the D. & It. G., resigning that position four years ago to accept other employment em-ployment with that railroad at Thistle. A year ago Mr. Storey, with his son, purchased the Shady Corner service station in Springville. ! Mr. Storey is survived by his j widow, Mrs. Minnie Storey, son,1 Walter, and five sisters, one in Portland, Ore., another in Des Moines, Iowa, and three in England. Eng-land. The funeral services will be held l in the Presbyterian chapel Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Thomas Storey was born in England Eng-land on October 24, 1853, spending his childhood and youth in Darlington, Darling-ton, and coming to America in his twenty-sixth year. He was a railroad rail-road conductor in England and has followed railroad work in various capacities most of his life. The accident, ac-cident, two weeks before his death on January 24, 1024, resulting in his right arm being broken, was the most serious one ih all his life though he had been in. grave dangers dan-gers often. In the year of 1SS4, at Humlston, Iowa, Mr. Story and Miss Minnie Fletcher were married ; to this union were born two sons, one dying in infancy. There remain to cherish cher-ish Mr. Storey's memory, his wife, his son, Walter F. and his grand-sou, grand-sou, Everette. Mi, and Mrs. Storey continued to reside in Iowa where he was engineering engine-ering on a branch of the Burlington Burling-ton system, till failing health caused him to relinquish that work. In the spring of 11)00 they came to Denver, Colorado, and later to Colorado Colo-rado Springs whieh was their home for five years. He then filled the office of engine forma n at Marys-va Marys-va lo, Ut ah. for seven years, since j which time in various responsible i.i.Miions, hu family has dwelt again in Colorado Springs, in Salt Eake City, in Thistle and at Springville, Spring-ville, Utah, whence his departure from this life took place. Funeral services were held from the Presbyrerion Community church in Springville on January 2u'ih, the pastor, Rev. W. II. Ensign conducting conduct-ing them. The choir sang "earer My God to Thee," "The Home Over There" and Life's Iiailway to Heaven." The pallbearers, all knights of the rail, were: II. E. Urquhart. C. L. Daly. Bert Smith. George Nolts, J. M. Brown, and Walter Jones. Interment In-terment was in (lie City cemetary. near the lines whose sound furnishes furnish-es at this place the requiem of the I Rio Grande. I Those from out of town, who were present at the services were: Mrs. E. R. McFadden, and Mrs. McCIure of Thistle, Mrs. Charles II. Codv of Provo. Mrs. C. 1. Lawhend of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. D. E. Crowley of Salida, Colorado. Through all these busy years of public life, Mr. Storey never forgot the kind affections or true home life nor neglected the fine ; courtesies that made his lifelond friends; nor did he neglect the-w-ord ;jal God whose counsels he -rend and revered.
