Show L OBITUARY I Funeral services were held over the remains of Edward B Howe the infant in-fant son of Mr and Mrs Edward M Rowe on the 25th inst at the Third ward meeting house Bishop George Hales presiding The house was filled to its utmost capacity The congregation was called to order at 1 p m The services began be-gan by Miss Farrel Banks singing a solo Invocation was offered by D T Lewis A song was given by n number of young ladies students of the High School Dr Joseph Hughes delivered a short but eloquent address He was followed by a song by Miss Bessie Gardner after which a brief speech was given by R T Thurber L W Nelson made a few remarks Blanche Moore sang a solo in her beautiful and pathetic manner She was followed by John F Creer who gave a short speech Henry Gardner made the closing speech The addresses were all short but were of consolation to the bereaved including hope for the future Benediction Bene-diction by John F Beck The floral tributes were most beautiful beauti-ful The babe wus 3 months 10 days old The funeral of Thomas Tadd was held in the same place and was begun immedately after the close of the services ser-vices of the Rowe baby The ward choir led by C W Booth furmished the music Invocation by Bishop Ben Argyle The first speaker was Wm Martell who spoke very highly of the character of the deceased Ephriam Hughes was the next speaker speak-er He said death is a mystery Life is a mystery Prof McAlister sang a solo entitled Absent Marinus Larson made the closing remarks The choir sang Home Sweet Home Benediction was offered by Bishop Hales Mr Tadd was 53 years of age and was a native of England He leaves a wife and a number of children and grand children He was a loving husband hus-band a kind and loving father a peac able citizen and neighbor and a faithful LatterDay Saint The floral tributes were very beautiful I beauti-ful and were woven into beautifnl designs de-signs The Press extends sympathy to all those who suffer the pangs of sorrow for their lost ones Funeral services were held in the Second ward meeting house last Friday afternoon over the remains of Robert Jefferson Bishop Argyle presiding The choir led by Fred Lewis Jr sang Rest for the Weary Soul Invocation was offered by Joseph I Brockbank Tho choir song Nearer My God to Thee The first speaker was James Hall of Springvillc He said he had known the deceased for a long time and found him honest upright charitable and a true friend to every body in need He asked the blessings of God on his bereaved family and his aged mother who stood by him in his last sickness The second speaker was Jacob Robertson Rob-ertson who said he had met Mr Jefferson on the street several timos during the last few months of his life and had spoken to him of his past and and his hopes for the future Robert had told Mr Robertson although his life had not been wholly exemplary he hoped that his future would atone for all The choir sang Sweet Rest in Heaven Benediction was offered by Orson Creer CreMr Mr Jefferson leaves a wife two children an aged mother to mourn his loss Funeral services were held in the Second ward meeting house over the remains of little Anna Rowena Warner the fivemonthsold daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Warner who died l Sunday of pneumonia Bishop Argyle presided over the services The choir led by Fred Lewis Jr wing Nearer My God to TheeYour Sweet Little Rosebud has Left You and Sweet Rest in Heaven The speakers were W A Jones and J Preston Creer both of whom spoke tender words of consolation to the bereaved be-reaved parents and relations telling them of a curtain salvation of little children and the love and mercy of the Heavenly Father During the services the primary children suny Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam |
