Show - o Wedding Reception Honors Couple A reception was given Friday evening eve-ning in the Third ward chapel by Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Nelson in honor of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Warner, who were married last Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple. The bride is the former Mildred Nelson. Wearing a creation of white satin, fashioned with long sleeves and a shirred neckline, the bride carried a bouquet of red roses and sweet peas with tiny silver ribbons. Bridesmaids were Miss Darlene Nix of Copperton, who wore a red taffeta gown; Delia Warren of Spanish Fork, who chose blue net; and Mrs. Nelda Warner of Payson, wearing white taffeta. The bridegroom was unattended. Also in the receiving line were parents of the young couple. cou-ple. During the evening dancing was enjoyed to the music of Max Larson and his orchestra. Oliver Hansen of Provo, a cousin of the bride, was master of ceremonies cere-monies at a program which included the following numbers: vocal solos by Virginia Jacobs, Drucilla Loader, and H. M. Nelson of Pleasant Grove, Miss Darlene Nix of Copperton, V. Emil Hanson of Orem, and Earl Wood of Spanish Fork; readings, Mrs. Anita Varley of Vineyard and H. M. Nelson; accordion solo, Rulon Brimhall, instrumental quartet, La-Verle, La-Verle, Donna, Leslie and Mary Neves; vocal duet, Shirley and Dorothy Doro-thy Phillips; instrumental trio, Mary and Donna Neves, Mary Fugal. Presiding over the gift room was Delilah Fugal, assisted by Mrs. Ray Carlson and Mrs. Berniece Rasmus-sen. Rasmus-sen. Serving was in charge of Mrs. Stella Nelson of Lehi, Mrs. Irene Warren of Spanish Fork, and Mrs. June Walker of Pleasant Grove. o ! |
