Show OGDEN MEN PLEDGE TO BUY 11090 WORTH OF WAR STAMPS An institution of the War Savrng Stamp campaign which is developing with success in Ogden is the "Thousand "Thous-and Dollar Club " Already there have been eleven Ogden men join the Thousand Thou-sand Dollar club and pledge themselves to subscribe $1000 worth of savings stamps for this campaign This idea ha- been deveoped by the committee in charge of the work and a strenuous campaign is being waged to get more members. To date there are the following; fol-lowing; T. R. Cooper, O. P. Skaggs, H. C. Bigelow, A. M Miller, James H. Sparge Co.. Bovle Furniture Co.. W. H. Wright & Sons Co., Golden Rule, W. II. Wattis, Warren L. Wattis, A. L. Brewer. This is just the start of the list and the committee expects to add other names to it every day Another feature which will characterize charac-terize the three closing days of the campaign, Thursday, Friday and Saturday Sat-urday of this week will be the booths which will be maintained In downtown down-town stores and the six banks of Ogden Og-den for the sale of stamps to persons who were missed in the drive. These who wbooths will be in charge of ladles la-dles of the Drama Club under direction direc-tion of Mrs. Phillip Knisely. An effort ef-fort will be made to dispose of all the stamps possible in this manner in the hope of adding to the general fund. One of the Ogden committeemen reported re-ported this afternoon that San Juan county, with 800 Indians in its population, popula-tion, had ' gone over the top'" with a dash. Liberty in Weber County has also gone over with its apportionment and encouraging reports arc being received re-ceived from other districts. |
