Show NEWTON I NEWTON Mrs. Ida Crookston entertained with a chicken dinner Sunday honoring her husband Arthur Ar-thur on his birthday anniversary. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Grenville Crookston and son Ronald Ro-nald of Logan, Mrs. Alice Christ-ensen, Christ-ensen, Annie, Nona and LaRee Crookston and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Crookston. Mr and Mrs. Golden Rigby entertained en-tertained with a family dinner Friday evening. Present were Mr. and Mrs. William Barker and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Larsen and family, Wm. J. Barker Bar-ker and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Chris-tianson Chris-tianson and three children and the host and hostess with their children. Cards formed the entertainment enter-tainment for the remainder of the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Marcellas Hansen and children of St. Anthony, Idaho are visiting with Mrs. Amanda Hansen and relatives of Newton. Mrs. Ora Jenkins and son Gordon Gor-don took the train to Arimo, Monday to visit her sister Mrs. Tom Gunnell and family for an indefinite period. Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Haws entertained enter-tained at their home with a Sunday Sun-day dinner. Covers were laid for the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Ross Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Larsen, Mr. Wm. J. Barker, Barbara, Gloria and Arlington Haws and the host and hostess. The remainder of the evening was spent at cards. Nolan Griffin and Chester Lund-berg Lund-berg and Mr. Rich were Newton visitors on Friday last. Calling on friends. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Sparks returned re-turned home Saturday from a trip to the west coast during the holidays. holi-days. Mrs. Cora Rigby entertained a few of her friends at a social at her home Saturday evening. Cards were played and light luncheon served. |
