A law suit was filed Friday in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Sycor Inc. (OTC 13.00, 14.00), its officers and directors and certain others alleging that the prospectus for the firms March 1976 offering contains untrue statements on Sycor s foreign operations. Sycor said the suit seeks damages on behalf of all members of the class action suit. As of Friday afternoon, Sycor said it had not yet been served with the complaint but its counsel had obtained a copy. The company said it believes the actions to be "without merit." The complaint, Sycor said, seeks damages for those who bought Sycor common stock from March 23, 1976 through Nov. 1, 1976. Specifics of the damages sought (OTC 30.375, 30.875) and Corco Inc. have signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition by Willamette of Corco's corrugated container plants and Corco's 50 percent interest in Wescor Corp.s paperboard mill which will make the mill a wholly owned Willamette facility.
