Show Members of the North Ward will meet in the Social Hall next Sundr y. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Aurgyle and two daughters, Hazel Aurgyle and Mrs. Emaline Roberts of Bountiful came down to spend Thanksgiving with Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Stocks and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hansen. Mr. Au -gyle was one of the Lalt Lake boys who came here in 1866 to help the settlers fight the Indians. He has many interesting things to tell about early days. Their stay will be indefinite. Swen 0. Neilson has exchanged his entire holdings at Green River for 1,920 acres of lfand, which is known as the Woolf Bros, faim in Alle.ta, Canada. The pluce is about! seven mtles from Cardston. Mrs. Chas. Oldham entertained list Tuesday in honor of her husbands Fiftieth birthday. Two fine chairs, a gold watch, a shaving set End other nice presents were presented to the honored gentleman by a large number of his friends who were present. An elaborate dinner was served. Singing and card playing was the main feature of the evening's entertainment. Ole Arilson won the prize in the bean guessing contest. |
