McLaughlin, j has too many friends here to need any i introduction to Salt Lake. The groom j is one of the best, known of the yu'.mg physicians of London. He is on the j staff of many of the largest institutions of the British metropolis, although it i; thought likely that he wiil resign from these to make his home permanently perma-nently in the United States. Following Follow-ing the ceremony the young people boarded a northbound train for a little trip, but w ill return to this city shortly to make their homo. The bride is an accomplished y- ung lady of this cily and the groom is foreman of the Trib- ; tine, and very well known in newspaper circles. A host of friends will wish the bride and groom all access and happiness, in their future life. O'Connor-Gilroy. Many friends will be interested in hearing of the marriage of Miss Nellie O'Connor of Leadville to P. S. Cilroy of Lost Nation. Ia. Concerning Con-cerning the nuptials the Denver Post in the issue of Sept. 15 said: "Next Wednesday morning at Unchurch Un-church of the Annunciation in Leadville, Lead-ville, high nuptial mas will be celebrated cele-brated when .Miss Nellie O'Connor is wedded to P. S. Cilroy of Lost Nation, la. : "The ceremony will be solemnized at 9:30 o'clock by "the Rev. Father Gibbous, Gib-bous, and Denver guests will be in attendance. at-tendance. "Dr. J. W. O'Connor, chief surgem of the Denver & Rio Grande railroad, who is the bride's brother, will be present pres-ent and will be accompanied by his wife- and his daughter. Miss Florence O'Connor, arid his son, Walter O'Connor. O'Con-nor. Miss Alice Donovan of this -ity will be the bride's only attendant. The brother of the groom. Frank Gilroy, who is coming from Iowa to be present at ihe wedding, will officiate as best man. Her beauty and charm of manner won her many friends', and it was with much regret that her resignation resig-nation was accepted a. short time ago. She gave no hint, however, of her approaching ap-proaching marriage, and the announcement announce-ment of her engagement was a surprise sur-prise to her Denver friends, although her acquaintance with Mr. Gilroy began be-gan three years ago, when she was a visitor in the east. The bridegroom is a wealthy stockman, and he is- building build-ing a handsome home for his bride. "A wedding breakfast, followed by a reception at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. James Knight of Leadville, will follow- the service at the church. "Mr. Gilroy and his bride will visit the World's fair before going to their home in Iowa." The bride is a sister of James O'Connor, O'Con-nor, the well known druggist, who is at present in Park City, but whose home is in this city at 211 South Seventh Sev-enth East street. Mrs. Gilroy and her sister, Mrs. J. Knight of Leadville, have many friends in Salt Lake, who well remember the charming women, vho visited here a few years ago. , , The Intermountain Catholic joins with hosts of friends in extending good wishes for all happiness to attend Mr. and Mrs. Gilroy. |
