Show The Minola Mining Co. Among the greatest mining camps of this country coun-try none rank higher than that of Park City as a wealth-producer and dividend-payer. None have more extensive ore bodies of high-grade ore, and none contain more limitless coffers of wealth. Since the first pick was driven into its croppings this wonderful camp has given to the world's treasury over $100,000,000, and about $30,000,000 has been paid in dividends. The famous Silver King Is among its largest steady producers, and its immense bodies of high-grade ore insures its position as a permanent treasure vault for years to come. On the same contact with the Silver King group and adjoining them on the north, are the properties of the Minola Mining company, which company was incorporated in July of this year, its capital stock being $500,00 , at $1 per share. The officers of the company are A. H. Mayne, president; F. M. Wilson, vice-president; Samuel C. Park, treasurer, and A. M. Spooner, secretary. The trend of the ledge which the Silver King people have opened up in their shaft at a depth of 700 feet, continues northerly across the claims of the Minola Mining company, dipping northwesterly, north-westerly, and can be traced frem the apex on the Silver King -well into the claims of the Minola group. A tunnel 350 feet long has been run in the Lookout and Colorado, two of the Minola group of claims, and a shaft is being sunk on the Colorado which is now down about 135 feet, and which will undoubtedly tap the main ore body which has been opened up in the Silver King, at a depth of 180 to 200 feet from the surface. The ore body in the Silver King varies in width, up to forty feet, and is of high grade, Identical with the richest ore which the great mining camp produces. pro-duces. A hoist will soon be placed on the Colorado Colo-rado and two shifts are pushing the work as rapidly rap-idly as possible, and it is expected that the ore body will be tapped within the next sixty days, when the Minola company will undoubtedly take Its place among the bonanza properties of Park City. The same lime formation through which the Silver King shaft has been sunk has been encountered on the Colorado, and the contact throughout the Minola properties, Is Identical with that of the Silver King. The shaft now sinking is a double compartment, well timbered and first-class first-class 'in all respects. The outlook for the Minola group is promising in the extreme, and, once the ore body is 'struck, its future may be predicted in following the development of Park City's best producers. |
