Macklyn The former Miss Rhonda Opheikens became the bride of Bessie Young Honored Steve Macklyn in nuptial vows at the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City on Wednesday. THE NEW bride is a daughter of Darrell Opheikens of 837 Thorn-fiel- d Road, Kaysville and Linda Mrs. Bessie S. Young was hona family gathering for the occasion of her 90th birthday anniversary at the home of her son, David R. Young. ored at Barnes of 781 Shannon Road, Kaysville. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Macklyn of MRS. YOUNG was born Oct. 3, a daughter of Bountiful. 1894 in Kaysville, Following the wedding ceremony the couple was honored at a reception at the Heritage House. Gabriel and Elizabeth Bailey Smith. On Oct. 25, 1911 she married Robert H. Young. He died Nov. 29, 1956. SHE IS the third child of a family of 10. A younger brother, Wilford Smith of West Kaysville and Mrs. Young are the only members of the family still living. Mrs. Young has resided in Kaysville all of her life and has lived in her present home at 58 N. 200 W. the past 67 years. SHE WAS educated in the local schools. She has witnessed the many great changes in the community and can relate much history of the towns growth and is amazed at the drastic changes area. in every UJoUb L'f Mrs. Young is well respected in the area. She is quiet and dependable and her life has been devoted to being a good mother of her six children and seeing to their every need and care. In addition to being an excellent homemaker, Mrs. Young has enjoyed doing all types of handiwork, her main hobby was making quilts and hook rugs. SHE IS known to all as a kind and considerate neighbor. She also enjoyed cooking. She was active in the LDS Church activities, and is a member of the Kaysville 1st LDS Ward. SHE IS proud of her children who are Cleo Young, Mrs. Lemuel (Juanita) Hedgepeth David R. Young, all of Kaysville; Wallace B. Young, Salt Lake City. Her daughter Lavinia Young died March of 1981 and a son Willard Young died November, The wedding breakfast was held at the Lion House. TRACY Hull was the maid of honor and Terry Murnin assumed the duties of best man. The bride graduated from Davis High School and is a telex operator at Sperry Computer Systems in Salt Lake City. THE BRIDEGROOM graduated from Judge Memorial High School and Westminster College with a B.S. degree in computer science and mathematics. A second birthday party was given Mrs. Frary by the employees and friends at Layton Drug. Mrs. Frary enjoyed a big birthday cake provided by the Layton Drug people.
