Harman W Peery to task for allegedly purchasing an expensive “play boy" type automobile for the fire department chief Ogden automobile dealers Saturday submitted a resolution protesting the purchase the method of purchase and urging that the practice be discontinued A resolution signed by representatives of eight Ogden automobile sales concerns was presented to Mrs Ella O N Ballantyne city recorder with a notation asking that the resolution be read at the "next meeting of the city commission" ' Bought in S L C The machine in question purchased recently at a cost of approximately $2000 was bought from a Salt Lake City dealer the local dealer’s resolution stated The information was obtained from state tax commission records they state In view of Mayor Peery’s “constantly present opposition to Salt Lake City” and his urging people to do business with Ogden concerns the resolution indicated the purchase Was improper Mayor Peery declined to discuss the resolution more than to
