New York, will present their great success suc-cess and the greatest success of the Yiddish stage. "The Jewish Heart." The company Is the best Yiddish organization en tour. You may not understand the German language, yet you can follow these players with ease. The engagement engage-ment Is for one night only. "Merely Mury Ann," which is being presented at the Orpheum theater this week. Is a splendid vehicle for both Mr. and Mrs. Mack and the other members of the company. Mrs. Mack Is delightful as tho servant girl, and llkowlso when the transition occurs from her humble quarters to the drawing room of her sponsor. Things moved smoothly on Monday night and the delay between the acts was materially shortened. "Tho Jolly Widow" Is more than making mak-ing good at the, Daniels, and Mr. Curtls's announcement that another great laugh-tor laugh-tor show has been arningcd for next week will be welcome news to all who have seen tho excellent production now running. Commencing Saturday, June 25. "A Stubborn Girl" will be tho offering, offer-ing, and it Is said to bo an elaborate production, both in the matter of costumes cos-tumes and scenery. Two performances are given every evening, the first at 7:15, the second at 0:15. A Japanese drama, showing the devotion devo-tion of one child for another, and a perfect per-fect manifestation of gratitude, entitled "Ito, the Beggar Boy," Is being featured this week at the Luna thentor. Large audiences continue to be in attendance at-tendance at all performances at the Shubert theater, and apparently arc delighted de-lighted with the excellent vaudeville and motion picture bill offered. "Almost a Senator." a laughablo farce-comedy, presented pre-sented by the clover little Star Comedy trio, is the feature of the programme, and gives each member of tho company a splendid opportunity for good work. Three vaudeville acta of unusual merit are the feature of this week's bill at the Casino. These, with tho moving pictures, pic-tures, make up an entertaining pro-gramme. pro-gramme. Crowds continue to fill the Mission theater at every performance. The present pres-ent bill Is tho best one seen at this playhouse during tho summer season. At the Grand a large audience witnessed wit-nessed the presentation of "Caprice" on Monday evening, by Victory Bateman and her company. The hot weather did not appear to keep people away. Miss Kateman has always been a favorite with halt Lake playgoers, and her portrayal f the charactor of Mercy Ba.xtor In Caprice Is llko all other roles she has carried out, away up at tho top. Caprice will run the week, with matinees mati-nees Wednesday and Saturday. |
