Show VIRGIN CITY. Rone Corey of Cedar City was here Sunday. Sister Mary Ann Richards, an old-time old-time resident, is here visiting relatives. A reception recept-ion will be given Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents, and a ball Friday night. Mart alius Wright is at work laying the foundation for William Spendlove's new house, which he is having built on his east lot. Joseph Wrights' house is nearing completion, the carpenter work is nearly finished and the painting begun. be-gun. A farewell party was given on Tuesday Tues-day evening in honor of Charles P. Burk and family who are leaviDg us to make their home in Deseret. Brother Burk was among the first settlers of this place, and during his stay here has won the confidence and respect of the entire people. We regret very much to see him leave us, and wish him success suc-cess and happiness wherever his future lot may oe cast. |
