Show SUMMER MOL NOTES There are more than one hundred hun-dred teachers in attendance at the Summer school. Snpt. Christiansen arrived from Nephi last Monday and has taken up the work in Drawing, Geography Geog-raphy and Spelling. State Supt. A. C. Nelson visited the school Monday forenoon and expressed himself as well pleased with the work being done. Prof. Wetzell is doing excellent work in music; the teachers are delighted with the Course he is giving and are making rapid progress. pro-gress. Prof. Wetzell stated that he had taught in Summer schools for twenty years, but had never worked with a more earnest body of teachers teach-ers than those in attendance at this school. A grand Concert will be given in the Opera House by the members mem-bers of Prof. Wetzell's class, assisted by Mrs. Wetzell and the best local talent, on Friday evening, eve-ning, June 26th. Prof. Carlson is giving excellent satisfaction. He has charge of the classes in Civil Government, Physics, Literature, Grammar and Nature. Mr. Carlson is a graduate gradu-ate of Yale University and taught in the Minnesota State Summer school last year. Miss Vimont has a splendid class in Primary Methods and Manual Training. The members are enthusiastic and are doing some fine work. This Course will be of great value to them when they take up their work in the schoolroom next Fall. |
