Editor llrrnld: On reading your remarks concerning concern-ing advertising fruit and shade trees, I exclaimed "the Herald is right as usual." The Rich people are, ; of course, in favor of improvements of all kinds.- Not wishing to be behind our neighbors, our northern location considered, con-sidered, we begin this year with two new school-houses and a meeting house, and in the spring we would like to have a large quantity-of fruit arid shade trees. Ye have been speculating spec-ulating where we could purchase the best and cheapest ones; money is not now as plentiful with us as it has been, therefore we wish to invest in the best market. But how can we find out the most favorable seller, unless nurserymen nursery-men advertise? We could visit all the nurseries in the city, but we have not the time to spare; we could ask our friends to find out for us, but we do not wish to trouble them so much. We wish to know the kinds suitabb to the north, and the terms. Therefore, we say, let nurserymen take the Herald's advice, and speak out. The Bear Lake weather has so far this winter been exceedingly tine and generally moderate in temperature. We have not had good sleighing here for lack of snow. The authorities are active, the health ot the people generally gen-erally good, and having time to read, we are eager for our papers. (Jur religious re-ligious meotmgs are well attended, and our literary association, conducted with care an 1 .judgment, by ".Saxcy." is the means of diffusing much inf'r-mation. inf'r-mation. 1'oui.s, Ltvi. |
