Show Beehive Girls Present Play "The Happy Day", (a one-act play), was presented very effectively by the Manila Beehive Girls Saturday evening even-ing in the Manila Amusement Hall. Mrs. Merrill Warnick directed the play. CAST Ann Loring, the bridesmaid Helen M'onson. Mrs. Marloe, mother of the bride Elva Eaves. Sybal Mario, the bride Nell Swenson. Swen-son. Kitty Fern, the seamstress Mildred Mil-dred Swenson. Opal Neff, a reporter Lucy Wad-ley. Wad-ley. Mrs. Fatlock, a country relation Bernice Warnick. Polly Fatlock, her daughter Lorraine Lor-raine Swenson. Dr. Juich, the bridegroom Lucy Wadley. The play dealt with the bride and her mother planning the bride's wedding. wed-ding. The parts were well portrayed and enjoyed by the audience. In addition to the play, the following follow-ing B. Y. U. Service Department program pro-gram was given: two piano solos by Miriam Warnick, and four humorous reading by Zola Garfield, talk, Fuji-vard, Fuji-vard, a Japanese student of the B. Y. U. in native costume, spoke on the customs of Japan, illustrating books, chop sticks, etc. He also played the national airs on a Japanese musical instrument. n |
