Show RECEPTION TO REV. FISHER An informal reception, attended by i the members of . practically every church Jn Ogden, was tendered Rev. ! Frederick Vlning Fisher, the new pas-I pas-I tor of the First Methodist church. In j the church parlors last night. The I reception wa given by tho ladles of I the MethodUt church and was not I only to Rev. Fl6her but also tho members mem-bers of his family. Other guests of honor were Mrs. II. J. Blgly. ccuusln of the pastor, and her dauahter. Miss Maud Blgly, both of New York City. The parlors of tho cnurch were beau tifully decorated for the event and while there was no special program prepared the evening was delightfully spent. There were more than three I hundred guests in attendance and Rev. Fisher received a rousing welcomo not only from the members of his own congregation but al60 from those of practic.lh every other congregation congrega-tion In the city. A 6trlng orchestra furnished music throughout the evening aud refreshments refresh-ments of ire cream, rake and coffee were served, Mrs. S H. Frey was chairman or the general arrnngement committee ond Mrs. S. J. Griffin had charge of the decorations. The refreshment committee was composed of Mrs George Craig and Mrs. Frank Peterson Peter-son Those who acted on the reception committee during the evening wero Mrs. S. W. Wheery. Mrs. S. J. Grlflln. Mr. and Mrs J. J. Brumruttt, Mr. and Mrs.. J C. Nye and others. The reception was oue of the most enthusiastic ever tendered to a minister min-ister in ibis city and last evening will doubtless be a lasting and pleasant remembrance to Rev. Fi slier and the members of his family during I heir cutlre residence in Ogden. |
