Show Mr. and Mrs. Frank Madsen were host and hostess at an elaborate luncheon lun-cheon and card party at their home Sunday afternoon and evening. Lun-was Lun-was served at 5:30 o'clock after which cards, music and songs were enjoyed until 10:30 when liKht refreshments re-freshments were served. The parlor par-lor flowers were pansies while asters and carnations adorned the table and buffet in the dining room. Those present were: Messrs. and Mesdames. C. T. Drage, A. L. Stout, Frank Madsen Mad-sen Mrs. Boon Brotherson, Miss Tressie Larson, Mr. Hairy Ericksen Erick-sen and Mr. H. C. Merz. The O. N. 0. girls were entertained entertain-ed Thursday evening by Miss Tressa Larsen at her home. The decorations were flowers presented by Henry Hasler and were Roses snap dragons petunias asters and phlox, Sewing and refreshments were the order of the evenings entertainment. The Sororiety Girls and their escorts enjoyed a splendid "Chicken Feed" at the S. E. Jensen farm Friday Fri-day evening. They report the affair an unusually pleasant one. Those in the party were: Messrs. Usher Winters, Harold Jensen, Bob Weech Sterling Ericksen, and Francis Ericksen, Erick-sen, and the Misses Vern Seely, Ven-etta Ven-etta Monsen, Stella Jensen, Afton Jensen and Virginia Gilbert. Mrs. Trena Day entertained a number of lady friends at a splen-' did dinner at her home Monday afternoon in honor of her sixty first birthday. An excellent dinner was served and the afternoon pleasantly spent in general Conversation. Some yery nice presents were given the hostess by her friends. Those present pres-ent were: Mesdames, John Tidweil, R. B. Jorgensen, Hans Lund, Jr. ; James Lund, Harriet Cliff, Hilda Larson, Annie Christensen Ander son, Hannah Hughe?, Sena Johansen, Johan-sen, Niels Waldemar and Inez Hughes. Hugh-es. Mrs. Edmund Johnson entertained the Sewing Club at her home last Thursday afternoon and the following follow-ing ladies were present: Mrs. Boon Brotherson, Mrs J. W. Annand, Mrs. D. D. Tebbs, Mrs. Frank Madsen, Mad-sen, Mrs. C. T. Drage, Mrs. Lulu Neslen of Salt Lake and the hostess. Sewing and luncheon were enjoyed. Messrs and Mesdames. A. L. Stout Frank Madsen, and Boon Brother-son Brother-son were guests at dinner at the C. T. Dreage farm Tuesday. A very pleasant afternoon was enjoyed. The ladies of the Home Culture club and their husbands were entertained enter-tained last Thursday evening by Mr. and Mrs.O. F. Wall at their home. Autumn flowers were used in the house decorations and an elaborate luncheon was served. Music and games were also enjoyed by those present. Prof, and Mrs. C. L. Johns were host and hostess at a pleasant social at their home last week in honor of the former's father of Ontario. On-tario. Games, music and light refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed. Mrs. Oscar Wall entertained the members of nor Sunday School class at her home Friday afternoon. The time was delightfully spent in games music and refreshments. Miss Carol Rasmussen was hostess at the weekly Kensington for the U. F. S. Club, Thursday evening at her home. Sewing and luncheon were enjoyed. Mrs. Sophia Poulsen was the re-cepient re-cepient of a very pleasant snrprise party at her home Monday evening uf last week. The members of her family were responsible for the affair. All kinds of palatable things to eat were furnished by the parties present which made a very splendid luncheon, also an abundance of gro-ee: gro-ee: ies and" all sorts of things in the house keeping line were presented i to Mrs. Poulsen and an alrouud pleasant and profitable evening was the result. Anderson, Willard Bar ton, Henry Ericksen, Joseph Monsen Mon-sen E. H. Ericksen, Joseph Johansen, Johan-sen, Anthony Poulsen, Mrs. John Knudsen, Mrs. Elsie Barton, Shirley Poulsen and Tressa Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Winters enteitained the members of their families at an excellent dinner party at their home Sunday afternoon. Mrs. C. W. Sorensen was hostess at a pretty and well arranged Kensington Ken-sington at her home Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. The party was in honor of Mrs Andrew Jensen of Salt Lake City, who is the guest of the Sorensen family this week. Beautiful autumn leaves and flowers were tastily arranged ar-ranged in all the rooms in profuse decoration. Sewing social conversation conver-sation and a dainty luncheon made a pleasant afternoon. The Twentieth Century club will meet for the first time this season at the home of Mrs. A. Johnson Thursday Thurs-day afternoon Sept. 26th. A lecture, LaBelle France, will be given by Mrs. W. D. Candland. Music in France by Miss Ella Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Jensen entertained enter-tained at a dinner party last Saturday Satur-day evening, in honor of the 27th anniversary of their wedding. There were forty guests served at the dinner. Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Becker and son, Vornon of Manti were special spe-cial guests. |
