Show OBITUARYr j Boyle. Mrs. Cathcri'ne Boyle. wife of Michael Boyle, died at the Hospital of the Holy Cross last Tuesday. Mrs. Boj'le was one of the earnest and energetic en-ergetic workers in St Patrick's church since her arrival in Salt Lake. Kind and gentle, she was loved and highly esteemed by a host of friends. Her brother. Denis McCarthy, and niece. Miss Barry of . Burlington. Wis., hastened to her bedside when they learned of her illness; also her sister, Mrs James McDonald of Ely, Xev., was present at the funeral. ' The remains re-mains were taken to Burlington, Wis., where they will be interred side by-side by-side with her father and mother. Manca. Louis Manca. an old timer in Salt Lake, died at the Hospital of the Holy Cross last Sunday. Awaiting the arrival ar-rival of his brother, Emanuel Manca, from Seattle, and his sister 'Moor, from Nam pa, the burial did, not take place until Thursday. These, with his children. chil-dren. Angeline and Willie Manca. were the chief mourners. He was buried from the Catholic church. Pitts. Mrs. H. E. Pitts was buried Thursday Thurs-day from O'Donnell's undertaking par lors. Father Ryan officiating. The deceased de-ceased was operated upon a week ago for appendicitis, and death resulted from cimDlications. She was 48 years of age. and is survived by two children, chil-dren, one of whom is Miss Edith Pitts, employed in the office of Saihuel New-house. New-house. 1 Lynch. J. Salisbury. The funeral of Orange J. Salisbury was held at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon after-noon from the family residence, 574 East First south street. The residence was filled with many friends and associates asso-ciates of Mr. Salisbury, wh6 assern-bled assern-bled to pa.y tribute to his honored memory. The services were simple but beautiful. Rev. Father Kiely, in the absence of Bishop Scanlan. officiated at the home and the cemetery. The pallbearers pall-bearers were Major George Downey, P. H. Lannan. C. L. Haines, W. S. McCornick, C. B. Felt. John Thomas. James B. Walker and Orr S. Ash. Warm Friends Attend. The attendance was made up of representative rep-resentative men from all walks of life. There were those who had been asso-. ciated with Mr. Salisbury in business, those who knew him socially, those who knew him in politics, and many friends and neighbors.
