Show OBITUARIES. Thomas O'Neil, a resident of Denver Den-ver for nearly forty years, died on Sunday, November 6, at his home, 301 Hunron street. His funeral was held on Wednesday, November 9, from St Patrick's church, Rev. J. F. McDonough McDon-ough officiating at requiem high mass. Burial va in Almint fllivft (pni(tprv Christian H. Hanson, formerly assistant as-sistant bandmaster in the United States army stationed at Fort Logn, died on Friday, November 4, after a long illness. The funeral was held Sunday with requiem mass at the Fort Logan Catholic church. Rev. Richard Brady celebrant. Interment was in the military cemetery at Fort Logan. Mr. Hanson leaves a widow. Miss Margaret Bennett is dead. In New York, 2,000 miles from the friends whose lives her gentle influence influ-ence had touched, her soul went sobbing sob-bing into the great silence. Her beloved be-loved sister and life-long companion hurried to her at the first intimation of danger, but reached the bedside only in time to close the loving eyes in death. Miss Rennett harl hfpn for twenty-one years a trusted employe of the Denver Dry Goods company, and a month ago, full of health and spirits, left for New York on her annual an-nual trip to buy goods for her several sev-eral departments. Four days after arriving in the great metropolis she was stricken with meningitis and died after three weeks of suffering. The body was accompanied by the grief-stricken grief-stricken sister. Miss Kathryn Bennett, arriving in Denver Friday evening, and was taken to the home at 1830 Williams street, where hundreds of friends called to express their love for the departed young woman and sympathy sym-pathy for the beraeved family. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, November 6, from St. Leo's church, the pastor. Rev. Father O'Ryan, reading read-ing the service. He was assisted by Rev. Father Malone and Rev. Father O'Dwyer. Father O'Ryan preached Rermon. Honorary pallbearers were Dennis Sheedy. W. R. Owen, E. N. Wood, H. L. McWhirter, T. H. Prothe-ro, Prothe-ro, J. H. Sawyer, L. Dates and J. G. Gates, officers in Denver Dry Goods company. The active pailbearers were W. W. Taylor, Warren Conley. H. J. Scully, H. Brown Cannon, F. J. Lincoln and G. M. F. Faircloth. Burial Bu-rial was in the family lot in Mount Olivet cemetery, where, within the short space of two years, both mother moth-er and father of the j-oung woman were laid to rest. Miss Margaret Bennett Ben-nett is survived by her sister. Miss Kathryn Bennett, and two brothers, Charles Wr. and Herry Bennett. |
