Show ODETTA IfK FOXTEXAY. Mine. Odetta Le Fontenay, the popular lyric soprano, assisted by Mr. Charles Young, will be heard in an unique recital at the Manti Theatre The-atre on the evening of October 15th. Mme. Le Fontenay has signally trir umphed in the musical -centers o Europe and has received unqualified praise from Massenet, Charpentier and Jean de Reszke. It was while she was singing at the Opera Com-ique Com-ique that Oscar Hammerstein engaged en-gaged her for three years. When the Hammerstein project was abandoned, aban-doned, Mme. Le Fontenay entered the concert field in which she made such a remarkable success that she was signed by the Metropolitan where she sang "one season (1917-..91S.) (1917-..91S.) Now the concert stage again claims her for its own. Mr. Charles Young is an artist ot considerable reputation who has toured in this country for several seasons, making friends and admirers admir-ers wherever he has been heard because be-cause bf his serious attitude toward his art as well as his unusual talent. Admittance to recital will be by card only. |
