DAHLQUIST For County ICommitmioiner, Four-Ye- ar Terra Reuben T. Dahlquist, candidate for County Commissioner on the Repub-lican Ticket for the four year term, is well known throughout the coun-ty ,not only for his activities in tho growth of the county, but through the splendid record he has made in the past years. Mr. Dahlquist was born in Sail Lake City, October lti, 188K; (retting his education in the (trade school of that city, following with a hii'li school education .and a busine-- s coi-k'K-course at. t'.e L'fuh metropolis. He has tiavcled tin ougiiout Eu-rope, and made extensive study of financial and social conditions while abroad, and is well qualilied to ta!:e up the reins of county government, should he be elected next Tuesday. For the past year, he has been classed as a re.-ide- of Bingham Canyon ,and while a resident of the camp proved beyond the question of a doubt that he was a man far over the average. Not only with the keen intellect that training and experience thrust upon him, but also from a charitable stand point. In drives, in anything pertaining to the general uplift of the town, coun-ty, and state, Mr. Dahlquist was al-ways first to offer his services. He left Bingham Canyo'n nearly two years ago, but frequent trips here have proven his great love for the camp and its people. Conrary to reports, Mr. Dahlquist was NOT connected with the defunct Citizens Bank, serving as assistant cashier of the bank of Copperfield at the time the old Citizens bank closed its doors. There is nothing of the political pro-paganda attached to the past record of R. T. Dahlquist. His past per-formances are as open as a book. A vote for Dahlquist next Tuesday means putting in office a man who is qualified to give the people of Salt Lake County a business administra-tion, and administration in efficiency and county uplift, uplift that will go down in the annals as a mark to be shot at for many years to come. His past record promises as much, give him the opportunity to fulfill these promises. HENRY N. STANDISH, REPUB-LICAN CANDIDATE FOR JUS-TICE OF THE PEACE A SQUARE DEAL TO ALL Henry N. Standish, Republican can-didate for Justice of the Peace, was born and raised in Salt Lake City. He was educated in the private schools which was the only education-al channel at that time; and later graduated from the Morgan Acad-emy. He came to Bingham in the eaily days of the Camp to operate a saw-mill, and has been a resident here al-most continuously since that time. He has been engaged in many business enterprises since ISMi; he has been at the head of a number of successful business enturpi isos and lorganized several important companies has been an active political worker in the Republican party since the di-vision on paity lines, and has held' many public offices. lie was elected School Trustee of the Bingham Dis--' tict for scVeial years and was elect-- ! ed County Commissioner cf Salt Lake County and served as such during the' years of 1!03 and 1904. Elected .State Senator and served during 1921 to 1925. He is a prominent member of the Knights of Pythias, having passed through all of the chairs of the Grand Lodge and represented the State in the Supreme Lodge from 1912 to 191G, also a prominent Odd Fellow; having attained the highest position in and served as representa-tive to the Soverign Grand Lodge in 1908-190- 3. He has for some time past held the position of Health Commissioner for the tenth precinct; he has always been a respected citizen, working for the best interests of the State and the Community in which he lives, and stands for a square deal to all. PATTEN Candidate for Sheriff Has a remarkable record of as detective on the Salt Lake police force, having been re-sponsible for the solution of some of the most baffling' crime mysteries in tne annals of the West. An indefa-tigable worker with a background of experience and a reputation for fear-lessness that has made him nationally known. R. H. LABRUM Candidate for County Commissioner Graduate of the University of Utah and took post-gradua- course at the Utah Agricultural College. Prominent in civic and fraternal life in Salt Lake City. JAMES H. SULLIVAN Candidate for County Auditor A resident of Utah for the past twenty-si- x years, reisding i Salt Lake City. Has always been a Re-publican .serving for many years as Chairman of his district. Was ap-pointed in 1922 to fill the unexpired term of Auditor M. L. Scott, and in the fall of that year was elected and since that time has been serving his own term. MRS. AURURA H. HIATT Candidate for County Recorder Born in Utah and was educated in Utah's schools. ' Since the death of her husband eleven years ago, she has been the sole support of her four children, whom she has sent through Salt Lake City public and high schools. She has served as deputy in the county recorder's, assessor's and treasurer's offices, and by reason of her experience she is thoroughly eq-uipped to handle the important duties of the County Recorder's office. REUBEN T. DAHLQUIST I For County Commissioner, four-ye- ar I term I Born in Salt Lake ' City and was educated in the public schools here, graduating from the L. D. S. Busi-ness College. Has worked in Salt Lake banks, and is thoroughly con-versant with modern business meth-ods and practices. Active in civic af-fairs in Bingham and was chairman of the Victory Loan drive. GEORGE T. JUDD Candidate for County Treasurer Has been employed in the County Treasurer's office for the past six years, and prior to that, during the incumbency of Lincoln G. Kelly as State Auditor, was traveling auditor for State Institutions. He was born in Utah where he received his educa-tion, finishing his higher education in |
