Show 10 SPRINGVILLE HERALD Thursday, September 18, 2008 Storytime and snacks for children planned at the art museum Author and illustrator Cambria Evans will kick off a weekly series of story sto-ry times that will be held each Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Springville Museum of Art. This series is being held in conjunction with "Unbound," an exhibition of original picture book art by Utah illustrators that will run through Dec. 28th. Familiar characters such as the Library Lion, Roger the Jolly Pirate, the Baudelaire children from "A Series of Unfortunate Events," Fanny and Heber from "Fanny's Dream" and "Rapunzel" come to life on the walls of the museum. Bring your children, listen lis-ten to wonderful stories, meet the artists, interact with the exciting exhibit Adopt a tree program beginning in Mapleton Mapleton's Shade Tree Commission is asking residents resi-dents to Adopt A Tree and keep Mapleton green. They will perform Sunday, Sun-day, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. in the Grand Gallery (second floor) of the Springville Art Museum. All concerts in this series are free to the public and are family friendly. Bluegrass Thunder was originally organized to complement a well-known dance team, Cloggers West, a young person's group of Clog Dancers led by Terry Tucker of Orem. Since its inception, Blue-grass Blue-grass Thunder has performed per-formed locally, nationally and abroad representing American Folk Traditional Music and Dance (along with Cloggers West). Bluegrass Thunder's repertoire includes blue-grass, blue-grass, western, country, contemporary and exciting excit-ing songs featuring fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar and bass. Their collection of numbers ranges from the spirited "Rocky Top" to soulful gospel hymns and spirituals and everything every-thing in between. The band is currently made up of six singers and musicians from around the area. Band leader, singer and banjo picker is Greg Tucker, son of the late Terry Tucker. Along with Greg is his wife, Maria, who is lead singer and is the choreographer for the nationally renowned dance team Rocky Mountain Express. Ex-press. The converts from traditional to digital scrapbooking are excited again about their hobby. "I have completely com-pletely stopped traditional scrapbooking because of the mess and have all my traditional stuff for sale on eBay" said Turtle.
