Show Thursday, September 18, 2008 SPRINGVILLE HERALD Boys State delegates report to heon Marsha Ward honored by Nebo School District fv II) ji L f 7V , til T i The American Legion and Auxiliary for their September meeting had Boys State delegates report and were entertained by the Blue Sky Jazz of Springville. Tyler Brinkerhoff and Skyler Hansen gave reports on their week at American Legion Boys State in Ogden at Weber State College. They told of the many speakers and how they learned respect for the American flag and for love of their country. They talked about running for political offices and how the two-party system works. Photo by Keith Davis . - i I . j y - WOW! Sage Creek PTA introduced the 2008 Reflection Theme to the student body in a recent assembly. Students have taken home information that will help them remember the rules and the categories of, Liturature, Dance, Photography, 3D Art FilmVideo, Visual Arts, Musical Composition and Theater in which they can enter (one time per category). WOW is the theme so students can choose whatever WOWs them to present. Entries are due to the school by Oct. 10 and will be on display during SEP conferences later that month. Marsha Ward has been chosen as the Nebo Trans-portation Trans-portation Outstanding Employee for September 2008. Marsha was chosen by previous outstanding employee Roni Reed, to acknowledge her dedicated dedi-cated service to the transportation trans-portation department, the students and the bus drivers. driv-ers. Marsha was a bus driver driv-er for Nebo and Tooele School Districts for a combined com-bined total of 17 years. She then became the secretary for Nebo Transportation Department and has been working in the office for the past 16-years. When she first began as secretary she did a lot of jobs in the office such as scheduling fieldtrips, answering an-swering phones, mileage, and more by herself for a long time, until our district grew so much that they had to hire more people to help her. Marsha is a very depend- Church to host builders for breakfast On Saturday, Sept. 20, the Springville Communiu-ty Communiu-ty Presbyterian Church will host members of the building build-ing committee of Habitat for Humanity for break fast, starting at 8:30 a.m. Habitat will be working on a six-bedroom home in Springville for the nine-member nine-member Renai family. The Contractors Association will work on the home to be constructed in five days. I - t I - i - ' : ! ' i: ? Her current responsibilities re-sponsibilities include: Dispatch, Dis-patch, Accounts Payable, etc. Marsha and her husband, hus-band, Clarence, live in Goshen. Gos-hen. They live in the house Marsha grew up in. Her son, Jeremy, is also building build-ing a house behind them. Marsha has three boys: Jeremy, Ted and Parker; five grandsons: Colter, Tyson, Bowen, Bridger and Morgan; and three granddaughters: Teddi, Makardi and Cora. Colter is serving an LDS mission in Chile. Marsha loves to sew, do yard work and spend time with her family in their cabin at Fish Lake. Congratulations Marsha for a job well done. Thank You for all the hard work you do to keep things running run-ning smoothly at the Transportation Trans-portation Department.
