KAYSVILLE PIONEER DIES DES John Thornley Thorley Highly Respected Citizen of Davis Davs County Jass Jasses es Cs Peacefully Away Kaysville Dec 1 IJohn John Thornley one of ot the earliest erlest settlers setters of or Kaysville died early today toda Mr Thornley had been falling failing taing in health for a number of ot months past and passed away peacefully without suffering He lie was born in Leyland Lland Lan Lancashire Ln England on June 22 2 1522 18 In his young manhood he united himself with the Mormon church In 1854 he left lef Eng land to come to Utah He spent a win winter winter winter ter in Salt Sal Lake and came to Kaysville in 1855 18 locating on the homestead where he be has since lived and which now forms tons part of East Layton Mr Est Lyton Thornley was wasa a man of ot excellent character and so lived as to be b highly respected In the community He leaves a son John W V Thornley who lives in Kaysville and I two daughters daughter Mrs Harry Aldous of Salt Sal Lake and Mrs Irs Mary A Mocker of ofSan ofSan ofSan San Francisco Francsco Arrangements for tor the fu funeral t funeral will wll not be made until Mrs Mocker is heard her from It I Is probable however I that the funeral will wi be held from the Kaysville Kasle meeting house on Wednesday
