Show C.R.W.P.U. HOLD LOCAL MEET County Attorney Stanley E. Dunford of Provo was the principal prin-cipal speaker at a meeting nf the local organization of C.'R. ; W. P. U. here, Thursday night. Before drafting the constitution for the union Attorney Dunford said he was unacquainted with the . motifs of the organization but now realizes that much can be done by the union members to aleviate burdens brought about by old industrial and financial pol-cies. pol-cies. He cited the Bible quotation, "Am I my brother's keepsr?" stating that through non observance observ-ance of this came our present great dilema. We now need more interest in our fellow men and that is what the union organization organiza-tion stands for, he said. Mr. Larson of the Provo organization organ-ization was present and spoke briefly on the self help projects underway. In commenting on the policies of the union he said, "we stand for stabilization of the nation, na-tion, which is neither capitaliza-tic capitaliza-tic as our old system of government govern-ment or radical or communistic. In closing Mr. Larson invited the local people to dance at the Utahna, the proceeds from which will be spent for Christmas gifts for children in- needy members families. The local organization also plan a project to secure toys for the children of needy families here, it is stated. |
