Show BOYS HORRIBLY TORTURED. Lads Suspected of Theft Treated With Incredible In-credible Brutality. London, July 30. The Berlin correspondent corre-spondent of the Daily News telegraphs a story taken from a Tiflis paper of incredible brutality in the works of a Belgian iron company in the Caucas-sus. Caucas-sus. According to the story a number of lads who were suspected of theft were horribly tortured by the Belgian director and six Belgian foremen, with a view of forcing a confession. The lads' eyelids were pierced with needles, their bodies were savagely belabored until they lost consciousness their teeth were extracted, large stones weie forced into their mouths and their foreheads were hammered with the butts of revolvers. The public prosecutor is now making an investigation investi-gation into the affair. |
