Show Pay As You Go By Paul E. Nelson. People often spend money before they earn it. Sometimes, quite often infact, they spend it on articles which they do not need simply because they are cheap. And yet "nothing is cheap that you do not need," no matter what the price. They will spend rnoney on temporary pleasures which they might be better off without. Sometimes they ask to have the money mon-ey advanced, while often some will use their employer's money without permission expecting to pay it back sometime later. It is dangerous to form the habit of buying things before you have the money to pay for them. Of course, there are times in business enterprises enterpris-es when it is both necessary and legitimate le-gitimate to borrow money, but so far as possible only to carry on legitimate business or in times of special need should a person go into debt. If you want to buy a piano or an automobile wait till you've saved the money to pay for it. In all cases where pleasure pleas-ure is the object it is a safe and good rule to. "pay as you go." |
