Lehi firemen and police officers cooperated in the rescue of a small Lehi boy, Kevin Barnhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Barnhart, who fell into an outdoor privy, Friday evening. Tile boy, who will be three years old next month, either fell or jumped into the opening of an outdoor toilet at the family home, while playing with his pet kitten, family members reported. His mother, alone in the house except for her small baby, was keeping an eye out for the whereabouts of her small son while preparing dinner in the kitchen, shortly before 6 p.m. When he two-year-o- ld w was nowhere in sight, she immediately began a search and his crying attracted her to the privy. There she found the small lad, embedded to his armpits in the sewer muck of the eight foot deep privy, his cat also down in the murky depths. Frantically, Mrs. Barnhart placed a call with the police and fire department for aid. They arrived promptly and police officer, Ray Edwards, made prep-atioto descend into the pit and raise the child out.
