GRANTSVXLTjE Aug 2 The funera of Mrs El en Mart n Barrus was he d In the First ward chapel yesterday after noon Mrs Barrus was born in Bedford shire Engand September 23 1841 he came to America in 1850 eon ing to Utah In 1855 and had made her home here s nee In 1869" she married Ruel Barrus who survives 1 er Ms Barrus was 93 ears o d August 11 and was probab y the last officer of he Mormon battalion 3 Five ch Idren surv ve Mrs Barrus these being Mrs T e Shaffer Monto Barrus and Mart n Barrus of Orantsv e Ms Ida Sanford of B ackfoot, Idaho and Mrs Albert Neson of Preston Idaho She also has two sisters and two broth ers ljvlnir Mrs Fanny Kearl of Logan Utah Mrs Priscl a Worthlnffton of Oak ey Idaho John Mart n of Preston Ida o and Lorenzo Mar n of Arko Ida ho She had e even granchl d en and five great grandch dren The speake s at the funeral were B F Barn s J H Ha e B shop J W Ander son and R R Judd "0 OS were sung by j E Ml ward and Magda ene Anderson ass sted by the comb ned cho rs of the two wards A.
