Show JULY 1, 1994 PAGE 10 Yardley. 4-H GROUP t t i 4 RECEIVES GRANT The ‘Gabby Gardeners, under the leadership of Jerilyn Mayer and Shauna Mayer, have received a $150.00 ‘grant from the Chevron Company for Community Pride Projects. The 4-H'ers will use the grant to landscape the Caboose Park in Milford. The Gutsy Gardeners meet weekly to keep the park weeded and maintained for the summer. Congratulations, 4-Hrers. 4-H BAKE SALE The Milford 4-h members will sponsor a bake sale on the 4th of July at 10:00 a.m. in front of the old Jefferson's building. All 4-H'ers are invited to bring goods to sale at the at the event. The Milford Jr. and Sr. Teen Councils will be in charge of the sale. Money raised from the project will help pay for the completion of the restrooms at the Tushar Lakeside Campground in Beaver Canyon. This campground is used each summer for 4-H camp for the nearly 300 4Hers that attend camp. Come support the Milford 4-Hrers at the bake sale! 4-H COMMUNITY SEWING CLUBS Twenty 4-Hers completed the beginning 4H Sewing project this month during June at the Milford Senior Citizens’ Center. Under the direction of 4-H Assistant Marian Banks and USU__ Extension Home Economist, Adrie Roberts, 4-H'ers met four times during June to complete a patchwork pillow, a drawstring bag, and a pair of shorts.
