Show Going Far Back In the study of cosmography in observing the nebulae of extra-galactic space we are witnessing scenes and events which occurred In past ages. When we look out Into the depths of space we are gazing back Into history. his-tory. The nearest star we see today as it was four and a half years ggo; the nearest nebulae, the irregular Magellanic Magel-lanic clouds, as they were 100.000 years ago; the frontiers of the known universe, as they were 200 million years ago back in the carboniferous age of the geologists.
