Show BEAVER BRIEFS Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wilder and children, of Cedar City, spent Thursday Thurs-day here as the guests of relatives. Mrs. Leland Ropper and children, of Oak City, are visiting with her sister, Mrs. John Ashworth. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wilson have returned re-turned from St. George and other southern Utah towns. Miss Nettie Smith left Wednesday i.... for Logan where she will visit with Of friends, then attend the U. A. C. summer school. Mrs. E. O. Puffer spent Tuesday at Adamsville, visiting with her son, Jasper Puffer and family. Mr. and Mrs. Will Munford, of Manderfield, spent Thursday in Beaver. Bea-ver. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Low left Friday Fri-day for Oakland, Calif., to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Thompson, of '-i. Park City, spent the week-end with " their mothers, Mrs. Anna Vincent arid Mrs. Rebecca Thompson. Miss Mervia Nowers left Saturday Satur-day for Provo to spend her vacation with her sister, Mrs. Lorene Stephenson. Steph-enson. Hiss Drnce Tanner is home from Bountiful, where she has been teaching teach-ing this year. George White and Howard Hurst arrived home Sunday from Salt Lake City where they have attended the University of Utah. Miss Harriet Farnsworth arrived home Sunday from the northern part of the state, to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. . Farnsworth. The Misses Loreane and Ann Cartwright left this week for Provo where they will attend school. Robert Finley, an old-time resident resi-dent of Beaver, is here from California Califor-nia visiting friends. William Fotheringham, of Salt Lake City, is the guest of his aunt, Mrs. Dorothy Williams. A baby boy arrived at the home of Mrs. Oscar Lim on Sunday, May 26. The East Ward Relief Society gave Miss Emma McAlester a fare-" fare-" v- well party Wednesday evening. At the close of the evening's entertainment, entertain-ment, she was presented with a lovely love-ly token from her friends with the expressed appreciation for her good work while living in Beaver. She is leaving to make her home in Calif. There were several people from Milford who spent Memorial Day in Beaver. Noted among them were Mr. and Mrs. Scott Tanner, Mr. Roy White and mother, Mrs. A. White; Mrs. Lorin Osborn, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw, Mrs. Erma Gillies, Gil-lies, Mr. and Mr. Karl Levi, Mr. and Mrs. Clay, Mr. and Mrs. James Griffiths, Grif-fiths, Mr. and Mrs. James Boyter, Mr. and Mrs. George Fernley, and Mrs. James Lang. e |
