Show THIRD SADCLIFFE CONCERT Kino rroerrnninie at the First Congregational Con-gregational Church I was a small audience but an appreciative ap-preciative one that greeted Professor Radcllffe last evening on the occasion o f his third popular concert at the P irst Congregational church Professor Badcllff gave the opening number an organ overture Fest Leutner which was played with the pOW l and delicacy as well that characterize char-acterize his renditions The double doubliL number the prayer front Moses in Sgypt Rossini and March in C Lefehure Wely organ solos b > 7 the rofessor were also evidences of his iI I pr emarkable power of expression There was as always an enthusiastic enthusi-astic reception of Mrs V M C Sllva who sang Loves Proving P Lohl i n an exquisite manner Hearts De ls ight was equally well given by the same lady Miss Marion Titt the contralto sang He Was PrInce and A Maidens Song Helnvund in both selections showing an improvement over her last performance and giving promise of a voice of equal mellowness and power Mrs Silva and Miss Titt were also heard in a duett I Would That aiy Love Mendelssohn ilr Gorlinskis rendition of Leon ore H Frotere reached his usual high standard usua Mr VY E TPeihe Utahs prince of Violinists played Pantasie Caprice Op 1 CVieuxtemps and received the warmest applause of the evening Miss Lillie Oliver a pupil of Professor Pro-fessor Badcliffe played The Phantom Chase Kullak and Fantasia Impromptu Im-promptu Chopin also a auet I Czarmne Mazurka Ganne with Miss Lyle Young in which she rejected f re-jected credit upon herself and instruc tor orThe The flute solo Pantasie on Abts Bong Sleep Well Thou Sweet Anerel and a Hungarian Dance by Mr G 1V Hedger was also well received < |
