Show Jensen earns award for excellent financial reports BOUNTIFUL Citing the end of the drought. Bountiful City Council voted Wednesday night to repeal the city's water conservation ordinance. BOUNTIFUL For the tenth consecutive year, Bountiful City and City Recorder and Finance Director Di-rector Arden Jensen have received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in financial reporting. Jensen received the certificate from Mayor Pro Tem Harold Shatter during council meeting Wednesday. Shatter praised Jensen and his staff for having "the longest running string of award achievements achiev-ements of any municipality in Utah. On behalf of the city, we're proud of you and what you've done." Jensen replied by saying, "You can't get this award by yourself. It's a total team effort, and a lot of the credit for this award needs to go to Mayor Linnell, Ivan Todd and Kim Coleman from my office." He also praised the city's auditing firm for helping with the annual reports. BOUNTIFUL A seven-year-old garbage truck which Bountiful City is replacing has been sold to Robinson Waste for $23,501. The truck originally was purchased pur-chased for $80,000, and city officials offi-cials considered private bids as well as trade-in value for the vehicle. The bid from the waste company was the highest, and council approved ap-proved sale of the vehicle. |
