Roberts retired Nov. 22, 1968, after 42 years of service with the Union Pacific Pa-cific Railroad. He had been employed as car inspector in Milford from 1926 to 1931, when he was transferred trans-ferred to Lynndyl. He also worked in Las Vegas, Caliente and Pocatello, returning to Milford in 1948. At the time of his retirement he was employed em-ployed in Las Vegas. Mr. Roberts attended the Minersville schools, and had also been a farmer. He was an Elder in the LDS Church. He had served as president of the B. of C. of America local, lo-cal, and as an officer in the Milford Credit Union. He was born Feb. 27, 1902. in Minersville, to William and Lillie Jane Corbridge Roberts. He married Lena Griffiths, April 16, 1919, in Beaver. They have four children, Dean L., Layton; Audrey Goodwin, Lehi; Euia Cluff, Las Vegas, and Wayne Roberts, Milford. |
