DHS Eagles to host 1A Region Tournament The wrestling season is faat coming to a dose, but there is still some mqjor action ahead as the Eagles host the 1A Region Championship Tournament, Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The tournament, held for the second time in Duchesne, will involve eight teams including the Eagles, the Altamont Longhorns, North Summit and Rich. ' Eagles prepared for the tournament with a victory over Rangely Brandon Moat last week, won at 112 pounds, JP. Tanner won with a pin at 1 19, and Daniel Swasey pinned hie opponent at place' at 119 and Daniel Swasey took third at 125. At 130, Jason Taylor took fourth and at 135, Kelly Kielbasa took first by pinning Chris Merkley, Uintah. Lee Memmott took first at 140 by pinning Ed Limon of Uintah and Robbie Coonis took second at 145. At 152, John Skewes took first by defeating Chad Feichko of Carbon and at 160, Matt Mitchell took first by pinning Micky Kievar, Uintah. Vernon Lewis took second place at 171, Brad Tollefson took second at 189 and Dalin Hackett took second in the heavyweight competition.
