BPW President Edith Christensen paid tribute to Dr. Stewart for her untiring and high quality aflbrta in behalf of tho children of the community. Several nurses and other employees of the hospital honored her as well. Dr. Stewart and her husband, Dr. Wayne Stewart, a radiologist at Duchesne County Hospital, moved to Booeevelt nearly 3 years ago with their daughter Erica. In addition to her practice at Duchesne County Hospital, Dr. Stewart serves as a member ofthe Duchesne County Child Abuse Task Force, and has lectured throughout the community on behalf of the welfare of children. She also conducts a periodic Newborn Resuscitation werkahop. She is a member of the Intermountain Pediatric Society and the Uintah Basin Medical Society, and is a fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics. As a student herself Dr. Stewart taught Spanish and histology to the medical students at Univsrsidad Central dal Eats in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic; for her doctoral thesis, he addressed the topic; The Incidence and Prevalence of Hypertension in San Pedro de Macons." Dr. Stewart believes that maintaining professional ethics and living as a personal example of a contributing; responsible woman are vital elements in contributing to the future of women in general.
