Show WASHINGTON Quite a large group from here attended the Stake M. I. A. banquet ban-quet given at St. George Saturday Satur-day evening. Mrs. Melvin S. Whittwer and daughter, Bonnie, of Beaver are here with Mrs. Whittwer's mother, Mrs. Ellen Westover, who has been confined to her bed with illness. ill-ness. Mrs. Balra Zalamer who has been in Hurricane with her daughters daugh-ters has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Libby, of Los Angeles, spent several days here with Mrs. Libby's mother, Mrs. Mary Jolley. They left Monday Mon-day for Denver, Colorado, where they will visit with Mr. Libby's relatives. . Lafe Jolley, of Cedar was a business visitor here Tuesday. Harold Prisbrey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Prisbrey, Jr., of this place, and La Rue Connell, daughter daugh-ter of Ber Connell, were married at St. George, March 7th. The young couple have the best wishes of the community. Willard Neilson had the misfortune misfor-tune of being kicked, by a horse, in the stomach Friday and was rendered unconscious for some time, but is now improving. Born, a daughter to Mr and Mrs Bert Hall, February 24th. Wlord has been received from Mrs. Misha Bigler, of Nephi, who has been in a very serious condition con-dition in the L. D. S hospital at Salt Lake for some time, is improving and can return to her home soon. Her many friends will be glad to hear of her improving improv-ing condition. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Peetol were in from Pioche, for a few days. Mrs. Andrew Sproul returned from Gooding, Idaho last Thursday, Thurs-day, where she has been for ome time. Mrs. Pearl Jolley has returned from Springdale after a short, visit with relatives. Mrs. Ellen Westover has been quite ill with heart trouble the past few weeks. Her daughter, Mrs. Melvin Whittwer of Beaver has been taking care of he.-, and will take her mother back home with her in a few days. Ruben Turner of Delta was visiting vis-iting his uncle, James E. Turner, Sunday. He came down to get his mother who has been working in the St. George Temple for several sev-eral months. Mrs. Golden Paxman returned home from Logan Sunday, where she has been taking training for 4-H club work, for a week or ten days. Dr. and Mrs. George W. Middel-ton Middel-ton of Salt Lake City, Dr. and Mrs. M. J. Macfarlane and Mrs. Jethro Palmer of Cedar City visited a short time Sunday afternoon with their aunt, Mrs. Martha Alexander. Mrs. Charles Averett and Mrs. Glen Reber entertained members of the "Just A Mere club," at the home of Mrs. Averett, Wednesday afternoon.
