Show Snowbird Sponsors Bicycle Hill Climb The fourth annual Snowbird Bicycle Hill Climb will be held Sept. 19, in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Participants can pre-- . register at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, or by mail, co Snowbird for $5.00; or register the day of the race, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. for $6. The race will begin at 10:00 a.m. departing from the Canyon Center located at 2100 East and 9400 South. The race will be 10.2 miles in distance, with divisions in the following I categories: Senior A, Senior B, Veterans, Novice, Women, and Never Raced. Each participant will receive a souvenir Hill Climb 972-600- Concert Scheduled At Local Park An band concert and picnic will be held at Bandwagon Park Saturday, September 26 at 11 a.m. Everyone in the community is invited to attend the picnic with each family bringing their own picnic items. Following their picnic the Lehi High School Band will present a concert at noon. A barbershop quartet competition from both stakes will follow the concert. Trophies will be given to the best quartets. Competitions will be held on ward and stake levels to choose the four best quartets from both stakes. These groups will compete in the quartet festival. The meeting is to plan the upcoming basketball season. All ward athletic directors are requested to attend. Bishops, counselors, inand interested dividuals are also urged to be present. HiVJ3U.'410IOl Hunter Safety Class Is Offered Persons interested in receiving a Hunter Safety certificate, as required by Utah State law for all prospective hunters under the age of 21, should plan on attending this last course of study that Mr. Cox will be teaching in the American Fork area this year. The J 2 hour course consists of four, classes which will be held on the evenings of Sept. 22, 23, 29, and 30 and a firing test the morning of October 3 Registration and the first classes will be held at 6 p.m. on the 22. Classes will be held in the American Fork Public Safety Building, 90 North Center. All students must be at least 11 years of age and capable of acting in a responsible and respectful manner. Students should also have access to a .22 rifle and amunition which are to be brought to the firing range October 3 only. All guns and materials to be used in the class room will be fur nished by the instructor. Adults are welcome to attend the class as well. Many National ahd State parks require a Hunter Safety certificate of all hunters regardless of age and this class will fill those requirements.
