Show FAMOUS LECTURER VISITS LIE The Key. Dr. H. C Mabie of Boston, fon many years secretary of the American Ameri-can Baptist Foreign Mission society, and at the present time lecturer on missions to all the theological seminaries of the east and west, arrived In the city yesterday yes-terday morning and will be here for a couple of days, delivering throe lectures at the Immanuel Baptist church, Second South and Fourth East streets. These lectures arc not only upon great missionary themes, but consider the fundamental things of Christianity from tho viewpoint of latest scientific development. devel-opment. The lecture for last night was on "The Essential Message of Christianity." Christian-ity." This afternoon the lecture will be preceded by a reception which will be tendered by the Women's Missionary so-clot3' so-clot3' to Dr. and Mrs. Mable, to which all the missionary organlazllons of the city havo been especially Invited. The subject sub-ject for this afternoon's lecture will be "The Dynamics of Christianity." To-night's To-night's lecture will bo on "The Life of Faith." Doctor Mable Is a powerful speaker, and perhaps no man stands higher, not only In Ihis own denomination, but among all the workers in mslslons. Ho has recently been selected to next year make a special tour of Asiatic missions, and the report of this visit Is not only for denominational purposes, but for gen-oral gen-oral use.
