Show FIRST CASE UNDER NEW LAW A FAILURE The first prosecution Instituted by the state for alleged violation of the nine-hour nine-hour tabor law for women wss tried In t he court of J uatlce Harry M. Harper yesterday afternoon, and resulted In the failure of the prosecution to secure a conviction. The trial was that of Max T'antrla. proprietor of a clothing a tore on Slate street, and hia manager. The complaining com-plaining witnesses were Cngred Chria-teneen Chria-teneen and Maud Morgan. The case felt down because it was shown that the girls were not working for Dan tela or hia manager, man-ager, but for a Bales company that bad charge of the sale. The sales company had a contract with Daniels and employed all tha help. |
