She did undergraduate work at University of Portland. She graduated with a degree from Westminister college in Salt Lake City and did post graduate work at University of Utah. She began her professional career at the University of Utah Medical center and later worked as a coordinator of intensive care center at Kaliskill, Montana, and at Holy Cross hospital as coordinator in the corinary care unit. She is currently director of nursing services at the local Brigham City Community hospital. She has held this position since the new hospital organization. He said the city hasnt been involved in parking lot development downtown to this point. And perhaps it was time. But Councilman Doug Wight said the city couldn't in this manner treat the central business district with different economic consideration than it does other areas of the business community. There would have to be a way of businesses bearing the cost, he opined. The property in question is that on which L. Bloom and Son salvage yard used to operate. It was acquired by the city and cleared several years ago. The location is on First West near Forest street. Other than gravel, the property has not been improved since buildings were leveled and debris hauled away. Palmer called it a mess in its present state. In an effort to move to some decision, Mayor Harold B. Felt named Councilmen Wayne Jones and Doug Wight to a study committee with City Engineer Keith Hansen, Planning Commission Chairman Jim Simper and Palmer. It was asked that a recommendation be forthcoming in two weeks. The planning commission is expected to consider the matter when it meets on July 19. Officials have already decided to sell a portion of the Bloom property, that on which the old Liberty theatre stands. But bare mention was made of that. Thats the prospect that city councilmen vere asked to ponder at Thurdays weekly ity council meeting. Councilman Doug Wight aired the as He pictured the relationship with Weir possi-lilit- citing an upsurge in interest at the lirport and adjacent property. At present the city has no zoning mthority there and so cannot control iroperty contiguous to the airport. Annexation seems the answer. However, Wight pointed out, state law ;ays to annex property, it must be :ontiguous to city limits. And at present, the airport is some listance from the north city limit. To extend the city limit to the airport vould mean extending municipal services md utilities to the new area and Wight said lis fellow officials should mull this over. There has been an upsurge in develop-nen- t at the airport in recent months and dso on adjacent land. Two weeks earlier the council received a jroposal from Flight School II to establish 'ixed base services at the airport. And Thursday, spokesmen for Hunter Aerial Spray asked for the green light to use the airport as its home base of operations. Ken Jamma said the company has operated at the Ogden airport for 18 years and would transfer here about 1150,000 inventory of capital equipment md supplies. Jamma said the firm specializes in aerial application and farm work but seeks ;o diversify. Councilman Doug Wight said, in clarification, that concern shown here recently does not stem from sales in Brigham City stores. Rather, it relates to what is distributed in other places like Ogden. Councilman Wayne Jones opined that the use of undercover agents until there is a definition at the state level is possibly premature. That climaxed the discussion with no indication of further action by the city. While at the council table, Stoddard also raised a problem of sediment accumulating in a storm drain catch basin near his store. At times it developes a putrid smell.
